Pizza Express Jazz Restaurant in Dean Street at Night
The Pizza Express Jazz Restaurant in Dean Street just begged for me to photograph it. The brightly lit, colourful neons and the corner location (Dean Street and Carlisle Street) gives this restaurant a stunning presence at night.
This actually reminds me of the painting by Gottfried Helnwein titled "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" which has the characters James Dean, Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley seen through the window of a brightly lit restaurant/bar.
The Gottfried Helnwein painting was based on the original painting by Edward Hopper titled "Nighthawks".
